On Saturday morning we will pack up the remaining boxes, close the door to our house one last time and drive to our new destination. There is a mixture of sadness and hopeful anticipation as we move to the next phase of our life as a family. Sadness to leave our house, the only one we’ve ever lived in. Sadness to say goodbye to neighbors and friends. Sadness to leave a city that we have grown to love. As we drive towards Phoenix, I know that we will also be filled with hopeful anticipation of what is to come. We are leaving our home, but in a sense, we are also going home. Home to where our hearts are. Home to baseball.
