Feeling Crafty – Tie Shirts for All!

Before I had kids, crafting was easier for me.  I had an entire room devoted to it.  I could leave projects sitting out and no one would bother them.  I could keep sharp objects within easy reach.  After having Joe, I still had room and time to be creative.  I started an Etsy shop, fell in love with vintage fabrics and constantly explored new projects.  Then came Leila.  I couldn’t let her sleep in the closet, so I had to give up my sewing room.  I tried moving the sewing table into the office, but there was no room for my fabric.  We put it in the bedroom, but fabric and supplies were stashed all over the place.  Under the bed, in the back of the closet.  The process to get it all out then put it all away was overwhelming, so I took a break from creating.
Our new house, although smaller, has a perfect setup for a creation station.  A huge closet, a nook for my ironing board, and plenty of space for my sewing table.

Hooray!  I am so excited to get going again.  First up, crafting for baby showers.  Tie-shirts are my favorite gift to make for moms having baby boys.  They are so fun!  Last weekend, my friend Jamie had a shower in Oklahoma.  I made the set above for her family.

She is having twin boys, so I made matching tie onesies
along with a tie shirt for Dad,

and a matching pin for Mom.

I put these pieces in my Etsy shop as custom listings.  I would love to make some for you or a friend with any fabric you choose.

And don’t forget about our Cancer Kicker Shop.  All items are donated by crafters and 100% of the proceeds go to fund cancer research.  We are currently looking for more donations.  Please email me if you are interested in putting an item in the shop!
And don’t be shy about spreading the word to other crafters šŸ™‚
What do you do to let your creative side out?

Super cute! I can't say I much of a crafter, but I LOVE fabrics and have fun decorating my house and throwing parties. Blogging and taking photos/getting back in to photography has been a fun creative outlet for me too!
