Gluten-Free Recipe Roundup for Your St. Patrick’s Day

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day!  Too bad I chose today to wear my only green shirt…I guess I will have to do a load of laundry tonight.  We are heading out to the Gilbert Farmers Market in the morning to see what green veggies we can get our hands on before the big winter storm moves in.  Oh yes, a giant storm that promises up to 0.75 inch of rain.  Exciting stuff.

As we prepare to take shelter, I thought it would be fun to gather up a few green recipes to check out.  All of them are gluten-free, dairy-free or both.  But don’t let that deter you if you don’t have any kind of diet restrictions, these recipes are delish for everyone.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, and if you live in Arizona, don’t get caught out in the storm!

Green Monster Smoothie Pancakes from La Petit Brioche.  What a great idea for a natural (and nutritious) green pancake.  You could easily adapt this  with a gluten-free pancake mix if you need to.

Balsamic Chicken with Pine Nuts from Alison Lewis.  A quick and easy gluten-free meal that you can prepare in under 30 minutes.  Perfect!

Creamy Broccoli & Kale Soup from Sonnet at For the Love of Food.  It’s hard to find a good creamy soup that is dairy-free and delicious.  This one is both!

Pineapple Mango Green Smoothie from Two Peas and Their Pod.  A sweet way to try your first green smoothie.

Roasted Butternut Squash and Kale Salad from The Copycat Cook.  This recipe contains two of my favorite things at the moment – kale and coconut oil.  Have you jumped on the kale bandwagon yet?

Lime-tastic Tartlets from I Breathe…I’m Hungry….  These are gluten-free, dairy-free and just plain cute.  Add a little tequila for a grown-up version!

Brussels Sprouts Chips from Me!  If you haven’t tried these yet, you should.  A perfect way to get some green into your St. Patrick’s Day!
