Ground Beef Stir-Fry Recipe

What a beautiful Sunday we had!  40’s and rainy, a little thunder clapping here and there.  We don’t get a day like this very often in the desert.  The kids and I stayed in our pj’s all day!  While they read books and played, I decided to tackle the pantry.  It has needed a good cleaning for a while, but every time I open the doors, I close them back…

Fun at the farmer’s market

gilbert farmers market

We finally made it over to the Gilbert Farmer’s Market yesterday morning.  It was a perfect day to check out the local food scene and chat with farmers and artisans. We made a quick loop around to see who was there.  We saw everything from organic produce and fresh eggs to handmade pasta and artisan salts.  There were a few tables of gorgeous breads that I unfortunately had to steer…

Gluten-Free Recipe Roundup for Your St. Patrick’s Day

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day!  Too bad I chose today to wear my only green shirt…I guess I will have to do a load of laundry tonight.  We are heading out to the Gilbert Farmers Market in the morning to see what green veggies we can get our hands on before the big winter storm moves in.  Oh yes, a giant storm that promises up to 0.75 inch of rain.…

This is why I’m not one of the…

Top 10 Gluten-Free Snacks (according to me)

Since being diagnosed with celiac disease in August, I have learned to be prepared with a bag full of snacks at all times.  I never know when I’ll be stuck in a situation with no gluten-free food in sight.  I’m sure I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface on trying gluten-free products.  There are so many out there, and more being introduced every day.  In fact, from what I’m…

Thankful Thursdays: Week 10

You might notice that I’m taking it a little easy this week on blogging and social media.  It wasn’t planned, but as I unexpectedly went  “technology light” on Monday, it felt like the right thing to do for the entire week. As I quiet my mouth (or my typing fingers I guess), I am taking time to open my eyes and ears to those around me.  I have been playing…
