Monday Medley

Happy Monday!  I have lots to tell you about, so I decided to smash them all into one post.

First, I am pretty excited about one of my recipes being featured on Shape Magazine’s website.  The freelance writer who put the piece together contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I would mind if she used my stir fry recipe for a story on Shape.com.

Would I mind?  Um, no!  Please do!

The only thing I was sad about is the fact that it was one of those “hurry up and take a picture” nights so the photo quality is not the greatest.  I actually snapped it with my iPhone.  Oh well!  The recipe is one of our new favorites, I have made it a few times this month, changing it up based on the veggies we have around.  Click on the photo to go to the full story.  The other stir fry recipes look pretty amazing too!

Next up, I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who pins things from my blog.  Pinterest has been the best thing for my blog traffic, and your pins bring new people to my site every day.  Thank you!

One request that I have is that when you pin a recipe, please give a short description or the title of the recipe but don’t post the entire recipe in the description box.  When the entire recipe is in the box, there isn’t much incentive for a person to click through to the blog.

Oh, and if you are a blogger or have a website and you want to see what people are pinning from your site, simply type in “http://pinterest.com/source/yourwebsite/”.  So for me, I type in “http://pinterest.com/source/inspiredrd.com/”.  It’s a great way to see what is grabbing people’s attention so that you can offer more to your readers.

Next, I want to let you know that we are having the Mamavation Launch Party tonight!  For those of you who don’t know, I am the official dietitian of Mamavation, a 7-week virtual healthy-living boot camp.  I design the meal plans for the Mamavation Moms.  They also receive a fitness plan and life-coaching.  I love working with Mamavation because these are real moms who are taking charge of their health, losing weight, getting fit, and setting a good example for their entire family.

You can check out more information for the Mamavation Launch Party and even vote for the Mamavation finalists until 9pm EST when the winners will be announced.

And last, I wanted to let you know that May is National Celiac Awareness Month.  I will be blogging as usual, but will be focusing more on celiac disease during the month of May.  I plan to share more personal stories about what it’s been like for me so far to have celiac disease.  The ups, the downs, the victories, the challenges.

If you have celiac disease and are interested in sharing part of your story, shoot me an email.  I would love to feature you!

Have a great Monday!
