Joe finally woke up without a fever this morning, but he passed it right along to Leila. So we started out another sick day at home with some Shirley Temple. Unfortunately for all of us, the song she sings about animal crackers in her soup will be forever stuck in our heads.
We took a break from watching movies for a little Mexican Train dominoes action. Hobbs was the big winner.
I’m trying my best to stay healthy and not catch this fever/achiness/runny nose thing, so it was perfect timing that the Agritopia Farm CSA started up again today. We got a beautiful haul delivered right to the front door (thanks Mom and Dad).
I took some of the organic goodies and made myself some “Stay Healthy” juice. Maybe an odd combo, but I enjoyed it. Kind of like tomato juice with a huge tang.
- 12 oz. water
- 1.5 cups red romaine lettuce
- 1 lemon, peeled and seeded
- 2 small carrots
- 1.5 cups grape tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- In a blender, add ingredients in order listed. Blend well and drink immediately.
There’s still time to sign up for this new CSA season. Go to the Agritopia Farm Facebook page for more information!
