Who has last minute tips for cruising?

cruise

Tomorrow we set sail on a cruise to Mexico in remembrance of my late father-in-law.  I’m looking forward to time with family, a week unplugged, and hopefully an opportunity to rest and recharge.

Thankfully I’ve been able to pre-order my gluten-free meals, and I have plenty of snacks ready to go…

Now I am staring into my closet realizing that I have no idea how to pack for a cruise.  I have a pile of dresses for dinner but that’s about it.

Any last minute tips?

Except for dinner, it’s usually wear whatever you want, so I would just be comfy. If you’re going on any tours/etc. make sure you take good walking shoes. A tip for the cabin- if you are in an interior cabin, I recommend bringing either a small clock (backlit) or make sure you can find your watch in the dark (and that it has a light feature). I know that sounds odd, but the interior cabins can be VERY dark, no mater what time of day it is, so you’ll wake up not knowing if it’s 9 a.m. and you should be waking everyone up, or if it’s 3 a.m. and you should try to get some shut eye (people come and go from their rooms at all hours, so you can’t tell that it’s time to get up just because you hear folks in the halls).

    Have a wonderful time!

Bring one of those over the door shoe organizers to hang over the bathroom door. It’s handy to put all your stuff. They have clear ones so you can see all your stuff. Get one at he dollar store and just leave it behind. Also put your outfits into gallon size zip lock bags and squish all the air out if them, your very own space bags!

Bring two swimsuits, so that you never have to try and put a wet suit on……

We went on a cruise for our honeymoon! I love how all-inclusive the whole experience is. I bet your kids are going to absolutely love it.

Bon Voyage! Can’t wait to see pictures afterward.
