A Tale of Two Games

Yesterday was the final spring soccer weekend.  Both teams played at 8:30 on fields diagonal from each other.  That meant moms were running back and forth cheering for everyone, trying not miss a moment.  Not at all stressful.

It was a challenge to keep up with Joe and his teammates as they played their little hearts out.

As I turned to Leila’s game, I found a much different scene.  She and her friend “M” were busy flexing, hugging, and resting.

But in the end, everyone had a shiny trophy in their hands and a smile on their face.

Absolutely successful. You’ve got to love the girls’ perspective at age 4 of enjoying it, because apparently by age 6 the intenseness of competition has set in with our little man.

The flexing! My two older daughters (ages 6 & 4) do that exact same pose and it KILLS me. SOOOO cute. 🙂
