Shine On

A few years ago, I met Ashley LeMieux. She was a sweet newlywed with a new blog and a heart to change the world. Over the past few years, I have been absolutely blown away by how she has taken a The Shine Project and built it into a thriving non-profit that is impacting lives every day.

From The Shine Project website:

This is what The Shine Project is all about:
Going out of your comfort zone
to bring light to those who need hope.
The Shine Project emulates love, sacrifice, and
CHANGE.

The Shine Scholarship Project is a non-profit that was created by TSP to put our beliefs in action. Its mission is to improve the lives of at-risk teens through service, education, and family involvement. We do service projects with inner city students every other week to teach them the leadership skills that are necessary for them to succeed. The money we raise goes to sending these leaders to college, so they can give back to society. You can read more about how to get involved HERE.

I’m so excited to invite you to the special Girls Night Out event in Phoenix on May 10th. For only $50, you will get your hair, eyebrows, and makeup done while enjoying appetizers from The Melting Pot, and shopping with Kiki La’ Rue. All proceeds go to the scholarship fund to help send inner city Phoenix youth to college.

Mother’s Day is May 11th, so this would make a great gift! Moms love gifts that give back (hint, hint). Plus, I’ll be there, so we can hang out!

Not in Phoenix? No problem! You can help by shopping Threads, The Shine Project store that employs and trains at-risk youth to teach them leadership skills and help them pay for college. Moms love cute shirts and jewelry too!
