We just finished up a long but energizing day in Ethiopia. I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night, but it didn’t matter because today was the day to meet our sponsored children. I’m trying to gather my thoughts enough to tell you about it, but first let me share some of my favorite photos from the day.
I dare you not to fall in love with these faces.
The last thing I want from this experience is to share a bunch of photos and stories and have everyone say, “Oh, that’s nice. Those kids are so cute!” These kids are so much more. They’re real, and they need our help.
Today was energizing and fun because of the joy that oozes out of each and every one of these kiddos. But it was also heart-wrenching knowing that over 1,000 kids in this city still need a sponsor.
1,029 kids are eligible and ready for sponsorship.
They are ready for YOU.
Love hearing about your experience while you are over there! Keeping you and your team in prayer. Your picture are amazing and capture SO much! 🙂
What beautiful photos, Alysa. Breathtaking, actually.
Thinking of you and your team every day.
Keep telling their stories (and your story too). It is important work.
Beautiful and inspiring Alysa. My son and I sponsor a child through World Vision and are blessed every time we hear from him and how our small contribution is helping him and his family.
