This week’s Bountiful Basket sure was a heavy one! I had both kids with me in the stroller, and I was picking up a friend’s basket. Thankfully, one of the volunteers helped me pack up and carry everything.
-1 watermelon
-1 large bag red grapes
-1 pint blueberries
-6 bananas
-6 pluots
-3 peaches
-1 pineapple
-2 long cucumbers
-2 tomatoes
-1 head romaine lettuce
-2 heads green cauliflower
-5 lb. bag yukon gold potatoes
-6 ears corn
The kids were very excited about the grapes. We only have a handful left!
We also added an order of the 9-grain bread. Last week, we ran out of bread and had to buy some at the store. Let’s just say that the fresh 9-grain bread has spoiled us! The store-bought bread was no match for it.
Because we were not able to pick-up at the location that had organic eggs last week, my friend and neighbor picked us up a dozen. (Thank you Gloria!)
Look how big this speckled egg is!
If you get a chance, head on over to the Healthy Mom’s Kitchen blog. Each week, Nisha creates a meal plan from her Bountiful Basket haul. This week, she included my Roasted Green Cauliflower recipe.
Also, don’t forget to join my new Flickr group and start posting your inspiring photos.
Have a great week!
Yummy! Everything looks soooo amazing and fresh!!!
Thanks again for getting mine this time! I forgot to order last week and while I picked stuff up at the store it wasn't nearly enough for us! This week I NEED to find that egg lady…is she at Sycamore?
Ashley, everything is so fresh! You will have to order when you get back!
Jess, the egg lady is at Sycamore. I think we should just call her and put in an order each week.
Do you have her number? That's a good idea 'cuz we go through like 36 eggs a week!
