Here’s to 10 years…and many more

To the man who loves me just the way I am, but nudges me towards being better every day.

The man who encourages me and my crazy dreams.

The man who shows me more patience than I give him credit for.

The man who tells everyone about the difference between a registered dietitian and nutritionist.

The man who brags about the way I roast cauliflower.

The man who is gentle with his words, but has loud and funny outbursts too (if you know him, you know what I’m talking about).

The man who sets the coffee maker for me every night because he knows how much I hate to get up in the morning without it.

The man who has a way of teaching and explaining things to our kids that I will never be able to master.

The man who has picked up the slack when my health fails me.

The man who eats my culinary experiments with a smile, and then happily cleans the kitchen.

The man who leads our home in amazing ways.

The man who:

12 years ago, stole my heart with sarcasm and sparkly eyes

11 years ago, asked me to be his wife on a baseball field

10 years ago, made me the happiest woman in the world by saying “I do”.
