Thankful Thursdays: Week 26 – Living with Moxie

Today I want to tell you about a friend I am especially thankful for.  Angel and I met right after Jeff and I moved to Tucson in 2005. She was one of my first Arizona friends and quickly became one of my best friends.  There are so many things I love about her that it’s hard to organize my thoughts for this post.

Angel is passionate, fiery, bold and intentional.  She challenges me in the best way possible.

She is an amazing question-asker which I think is one of the best qualities in a friend.  Her questions are aimed at getting to know you on a deeper level so that she can love you better.  I need to be a better question-asker.

Angel is passionate about her faith.  While I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to put action to my intentions, she is out there doing it.  She inspires me to put feet to my faith and action behind my words.

She is one of the best moms I know.  I’m so thankful to have had the first four years of my mommy-hood with Angel physically by my side.  Her support, friendship and prayers during those years gave me more than I could ever repay.  You should meet her kids, they are amazing.

Neither of us are good about talking on the phone, so we stay in touch through texting and all channels of social media.  But this week I am blessed to have her for a few hours each day while she’s in town for her daughter’s volleyball tournament.  I’m so thankful for this face-to-face time with such a great friend.

Angel blogs at Living with Moxie.  She’s a better blogger than she thinks she is.  Her posts are insightful and challenging.  I hope you’ll hop over to meet her.  You can also find her on Twitter every once in a while.

Angel challenges me to live with moxie every day.  For that, I am forever thankful.

Angel sounds like an incredible woman. Thanks for sharing her blog Alyssa- I’ll have to check it out!

I’m extra thankful for my sister, who is also one of my best friends. She challenges me with a loving spirit, asks insightful/purposeful question, is so very joyful in Christ (it is beautiful to see), is sincere and genuine, speaks truth, and lives out her faith with passion and zeal.

Friends are treasures and blessings from the Lord. I’m glad you get to spend time with Angel and hope you are settling in well! Also, I’m excited to hear how your trip goes!!
