We’re at the halfway point of the 40 Day Water Challenge. I’m not a soda drinker, and I usually order water when I go out to eat, so I wondered if my drink tally would be very high. After 20 days, I’ve already given up 23 drinks for a total of $67 raised! What an eye opener. I was spending way more on drinks than I ever dreamed!
Some of you have asked if it’s too late to join in. It’s never too late. Join now and give up 20 days of drinks, as you can see it adds up!
Some of you have said there is no way you could give up your morning coffee. No problem, I haven’t either! I just gave up the afternoon Starbucks runs (which were apparently more often than I thought they were). I donate double for every cup of joe I drink from home in the morning.
Some of you don’t want to commit to the challenge, and to you I say GREAT! Buy ME a drink!
Because guess what? $1 provides a year of clean water for someone. One little tiny dollar.
Pretend we’re meeting at Starbucks for a coffee date, and offer to buy my grande dark blend. Or that we’re at a fancy bar and you want to buy me a glass of pinot noir (my favorite). Click here and buy me a drink. For every dollar, you will change one life.
For every dollar, one less woman will have to walk miles with a heavy bucket to a tainted water source.
For every cup of coffee, two kids will have a chance to go to school instead of spending all day searching for water.
For every glass of wine, a family of seven will be spared the diseases that come with drinking from a muddy puddle.
So what do you say? Buy me a drink? I am parched.
At the bottom of the donation form, where it says “Honorary Gift or Sponsorship Option” I would be honored if you would sponsor me so I can personally thank you!
This is my first year doing the 40 days of Water and it’s been eye opening to me too. I haven’t bought myself a drink but every time I am out with my family and they buy me one I think, “I should probably count this as one of my given up drinks and donate it on B:W.” I would actually like to go a year and see how much I could raise… 🙂
