I’m looking forward to Celiac Awareness Month in May (my procrastinating heart can’t believe I’m planning ahead), and I would really like to share some of your stories. The gluten-free community has been HUGE for me (in fact, these guys above might be the only reason I didn’t completely lose it on Saturday), and I’m hoping to connect some of you who may feel alone in all of this craziness.
So tell us, what has this journey been like for you? What have you learned? What are you frustrated about? What do you wish people knew about living with celiac disease?
After an episode I had over the weekend (tell you later), I am even more intrigued (and scared) by the mental health aspects of celiac disease. And I believe this is something that needs to be discussed more openly among the celiac community AND acknowledged by the health care community. As a member of both, I’m determined to get the discussion started. Will you help me?
Celiacs, dietitians who treat celiacs, family members of celiacs, will you share your voice?
Yay! I knew you would.
I’ve created an easy way to share your story. Give me a sentence, or write me a novel, either way let’s get the conversation going.
All I can say is THANK YOU for doing this and I’ll be happy to help in any way I can.
Thanks Dude. I’m ready to tackle this issue!
I’m equally as thankful for you too! Please let me know how I can help you! 🙂
[…] #5. There is still time to buy me a drink and share your celiac story. […]
I just saw a link to this on Pinterest and submitted my little girl’s story!
This story is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing! I’ll be contacting you 😉
