Last year I wrote about life getting crazy and the urge to clean off my plate.
Maybe it’s a November thing, but I feel the need to do it again.
I try to be as intentional as I can about my time and commitments. I do my best to say no to good things so I can have the freedom to say yes to great things.
And I’m getting ready to say a great big wonderful yes.
So something needs to go.
Goodbye social media on my phone. DELETE.
This isn’t some groundbreaking simple living hack, but it’s always the best start for me.
The more I can release distractions, the more I can focus on keeping my plate balanced and my thoughts uncluttered.
November, it seems, is a perfect time to take a deep breath and separate the urgent from the important.
How can you simplify today?
I feel exactly the same. I thought I was getting good at being mindfull and focused and on concentrating on one thing at the time… but somehow recently it has all gone wrong again.
I don’t know if it is a “november” thing, I have the feeling that as the years end approaching, we all get a bit more busy and feel the end of something coming, you know ….
But it is important to remember the value of time and to take some steps back.
To realize it is a good start 🙂
Awareness is the best beginning 😉
I have finished 4 fiction books in the last 6 weeks. This is coming from someone who has been too distracted to read a novel for the last decade. How have I simplified? By cutting back my time on social media. It wasn’t fulfilling anyway. I still have fb & twitter, but I’m trying to waste less time on these sites & do something more fulfilling with my time.
That’s great!
Did you remove ALL social apps? Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
Can’t wait to hear more about your “great big wonderful yes.”
I removed everything from my phone except for Instagram (because that’s the only way to use it). I always end up adding them back in for certain reasons here and there, but it’s nice to go a while without them.
