The kids just finished up their school year, and I wanted to see how much they had grown. So I put them in the same outfit they wore on the first day of school and took a photo in the exact same spot.
I didn’t plan it out this way, but our front door was the perfect backdrop because the lines and door handle gave scale to the photos. You can see how many inches they grew, and in Joe’s case, how much bigger he looks all around.
To get the photos side-by-side with text, you could use an iPhone app, PicMonkey, or Photoshop. If you have Photoshop, I used the free actions from MCP.
It might be too late to do this for your kids this year, but you could bookmark or pin it for next year!
It’s equal parts fun and heart wrenching to see how fast they grow.
Happy Summer!
i LOVE these pics! and they are both so cute!!
O wow, you really see the change in Joe! Such beautiful children š
Such a good idea! They grew so TALL.
Too cute! On Friday I took a picture of my son (his last day of high school) in the same spot as his first day of kindergarten picture. So glad to have done this! Enjoy your summer~
