Guess what?! I finally got a DSLR camera! I have been wanting one for a long time, but you know, they are kind of expensive. Turns out, my brother-in-law Jesse recently upgraded his camera and was looking to pass on his older Canon Rebel. He and Jeff arranged for me to get the camera for my birthday last weekend. As Jesse apologized for not sending it with the original lens, I opened the box to realize that he actually sent the exact lens that I had planned on buying for food photography (50mm f/1.8). Perfect!
A huge thanks to Jesse and Jeff for making my birthday wish come true. Also, thank you to family who sent money towards some of the accessories I will need to go with my new camera. And last but not least, thank you Sylvie from Gourmande in the Kitchen for answering all of my camera questions. If you haven’t checked out her amazing photography, you definitely should. Sylvie is also a member of my Inspired Flickr Group. Won’t you join and share your photos with us?
