Thomas the Train, Snow White, and Rosemary Potato Pizza

Snow White and Thomas the Train
We had such a fun Halloween this year, mostly because we got a surprise visit from Daddy. He drove 7 hours straight from the baseball field to spend the weekend with us. The kids and I were thrilled!

Joe learned what a Pixie Stick is.
Leila quickly developed a love for suckers.

Joe and I made some homemade focaccia dough so that we could eat some pizza before heading out for candy.  We made enough for two pizzas.  One had sausage, onions, squash, pineapple, tomatoes and jalapeno on top.  For the other one, I sliced up four small russet potatoes and one small yam, tossed them with onion, olive oil and rosemary, then sprinkled some chopped bacon on top (Grandpa’s request).  It was delicious!  I think it will be even better next time with a garlic and herb crust.

My favorite part of trick-or-treating was hearing Joe tell everyone that he wasn’t really Thomas, it was just a costume, he is still Joe.
and of course, our surprise visitor.
How was your Halloween?
