Visiting Daddy at the Ballpark

Last week I took the kids to see Jeff at the ballpark for the first time since we moved to Phoenix.  They had a great time!  Joe’s biggest concern was finding out where they store all of the bubble gum.  He kept pointing to different places saying, “maybe they keep the gum in there!”

He enjoyed a piece of Bazooka while watching Daddy throw batting practice.
Leila loved running around in the dirt.
Yes I wore white pants to a baseball field (what was I thinking, right?). They actually stayed pretty white!
It was good to see Jeff in a baseball uniform again.  The last time I saw him in full uniform was when I was gigantically pregnant with Joe (and I mean gigantically pregnant–I was hugely swollen)
This is the picture I always had in my mind when we started having kids.
After Joe checked out the locker room, the kids and I watched a little big league action.  You will be happy to know that Joe did find out where they keep the gum.
Walking out of the ballpark, Jeff asked Joe what his favorite part of the day was.  Joe’s reply?  “The giant room full of snacks!”

Leave it to kids. It's always all about the snacks. What an awesome thing for your husband to be able to share baseball with the kids. Good memories for them. And white pants? Impressive.

Lauren, thanks. I'm sure I looked so out of place with the white pants on haha!

Mommy Mentor, thank you for the comment!

Deanna, hooray for baseball season. I know you are such a fan!

Angela, he doesn't play any more. This is his first year coaching. He is the pitching coach for the rookie DBacks team.
