Two exciting things wrapped up this week. First, and most important, my auction to benefit A Fund For Jennie closed with a winning bid of $275 from April. Thank you to everyone who participated. You will be excited to know that so far over $63,000 has been raised for Jennifer Perillo and her daughters through the Bloggers Without Borders campaign. The outpouring of support has exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations, and I am thankful to be a small part of this amazing community. The other exciting campaign that finished up last week was the Top 50 Most Inspirational Healthy Tweeps list. A huge thanks to everyone who voted, you helped me finish at #1! I remember looking at the top 50 last year and thinking that it would be an honor just to be on the list. I had no idea that a year later I would be at the top. To be up there with people who inspire me daily like Roni and Tony just blows me away. Through social media, my role is always changing and evolving, but my biggest goal is always to inspire. Thank you for encouraging me in that pursuit. I hope to always live up to the task!
Speaking of #1, this weekend marks the beginning of the college football season.
