Last day of school, and a teacher’s gift that makes a difference

My little man is growing up.  As Jen Hatmaker would say, “Gah.”

All of the parents pitched in for a class gift for Joe’s teachers.  At the last minute, I thought of a perfect addition from our family.  I went to the Food for the Hungry website and searched for education gifts.  We donated some school supplies in the names of the teachers.

Teacher Gifts that Give Back

For only $8, each school supplies pack includes pens, paper, notebooks and other school supplies kids need most. Not having pencils and paper at the start of the school year can sometimes mean a child will drop out of school…forever.

There are other education gifts available such as uniforms, books, desks, and school fees.  When you purchase your gift, there is a printable PDF file that you can include in the card to tell the recipient what you donated in their name, and how the gift will be used.

Anyways, that was just a thought that I had (at the last minute, of course).  I thought I would share the idea in case you are still in need of a gift for your child’s teacher.

Happy Summer!
