How to test for Diastasis Recti

How to test for Diastasis Recti (and a comparison between diastasis rehab programs) - inspiredrd.com

I can’t even express how thrilled I am that I finally found a diastasis rehab program that works! My gap is getting smaller and my core is getting stronger. So exciting!  I’ve only been trying to figure out how to fix my mommy tummy for six years…since Joe was just a tiny little guy.  (Side note: My baby isn’t a baby anymore. Sniff.)

There are two questions popping up almost daily from readers who come searching for diastasis recti answers, so I thought I would let Wendy answer them for you here.

#1. How do I check for diastasis? Watch the short video below:

#2. What is the difference between the Tupler Technique, MuTu System and others?  How do I know which program to choose?  Read here for a full comparison.

I hope that helps.  All I can offer is information from the experts and my own testimonial.  I’ve been searching for a solution for a long time, and I am so happy to have finally found it.

If you have any other questions, leave a comment and I’ll do some more investigating for you!

Thanks for introducing me to this product! Unfortunately the coupon code isn’t working for me 🙁 was it for a limited time?

    • inspiredrd May 11, 2013 at 10:15 am

Sorry about that! The codes have been corrected.

Alysa – thanks for all your posts about this – they really are helpful!! But, in looking through all your diastasis posts, you’ve changed from listing exercises, etc. from the Tupler method to Wendy’s MuTu method. Was there a specific reason for that? Was it to avoid the splint? I’m looking at several of these methods and am curious what was the point that swayed your vote – especially since you hadn’t started doing Wendy’s method yet. (and believe me, I understand that!!! I’ve been avoiding fixing this issue for year!). 🙂 Thanks for your input!

Hey Meghan, after talking to all 3 experts, I decided that I agreed with Wendy’s the most. It makes more sense to me to heal from the inside out and to heal the entire body, not just pull the top muscles together. And I am very happy with Wendy’s program so far!

I am doing tupler and I’m not happy…a lot of pressure on my pelvic area and not enough time for the exercises….do you have a current mutu coupon?

Hey Alisa! You can use the code “INSPIRED15” for 15% off.

Just wondering where you’re at with the program. Did you finish the 12 week program (did you just do the tummy focus program or the 12 week one ?)and did you find it helpful, etc.?

    • inspiredrd August 20, 2013 at 9:42 pm

Hi Sarah, I was hit with some health issues, so I haven’t completed the full 12 weeks yet, but I am definitely seeing results so far! My gap shrunk 1/2 a finger width in the first two weeks. Hope that helps.
