Peanuts, Pranks, and a trip to 1979

The lint catcher in my dryer is full of sunflower seeds which means baseball season is in full swing again. So why not do a post about all things American Pastime?

First up, a few friends and I threw a vintage baseball themed baby shower last week for our friend Whitney. Christine made an incredible cake, Emily whipped up festive bunting, Lindsay crafted up cute party favors, and I supplied a truckload of baseball stuff. It’s not like we’re lacking in that department around here.

You can see more photos from the shower on my photography page.

Next up, my hilarious friend Jessie is finally blogging again. I may have kicked her in the pants begged her to come back a thousand few times over the offseason. Yesterday she took us on a tour of their fancy 1979-inspired housing for the season.

Minor league baseball life.

I’m telling you, minor league baseball is Just. So. Glamorous. Read the full post here. (Make sure to follow her blog and give her some newbie Twitter love.)

And finally, it wouldn’t be baseball season without pranks. This is one of the funniest I’ve heard of in a long time. Not because of the trick itself, but because they pulled it off for a full month.

Impressive. (Click here if you can’t see the video.)

And now I’m getting a little hungry. Must be time to do another load of laundry.

Thanks for a good laugh! The 1979 house could have been my parents’ house… bathroom globes and all! And the baseball prank was priceless 🙂
