The Inspired List

Thank you for all of your kind words about my decision to start blogging again. I’m glad you like the inspired imperfect version of me because trying to be anything else makes me a crazy person.

I thought it would be fun every once in a while to bring you a list of things that are making me happy. Products, articles, videos, whatever. Sometimes these might include affiliate links, but never will I recommend anything I don’t use and love myself.

I hope you have fun with these inspired lists, I think I’ll have fun making them for you!

I’ve told you before about my FashionABLE purse and how much I love it. I have used it every day for more than two years and it only gets better with age. Well, I had my wallet stolen last year, and I had been waiting to replace it because honestly every time I walked into Target, I couldn’t bring myself to plop down $35 for a wallet made in China that I knew would fall apart in a few months.

So I checked out FashionABLE and they have this amazing new design called the Debre Wallet. (Each of their products is named after one of the heroic women they work with.) It’s big enough to hold all of my cards and cash, a pen, AND my phone. (Click play on the video above to see the all the pretty details.)

Although I adore the cognac color of my Mayume tote, I got the Debre Wallet in black so it wouldn’t show any scuffs or stains from whatever is rolling around in the bottom of my tote. (Which usually includes approximately 17 pens, two baseballs, and a handful of sunflower seeds.)

And here’s something cool, if you sign up for FashionABLE emails, you can get $10 off!

I’m going to Israel next week (!!!) and wanted to take some essential oils with me. Travel makes me anxious, especially international travel to a place I have never been.

After learning more about essential oils over the past few months, I wanted to make sure to get something pure and pre-diluted. So I emailed Plant Therapy and asked for their advice. They got back to me within a few hours and were super helpful.

I got three roll-ons for my trip: Worry Free, Immune Aid and Tummy Aid ($7.95-$9.95 each). I’m already wearing Worry Free daily because of the warm vanilla scent. Mmm, smells incredible.

When I get back, I plan to order some of their Kid Safe oils to help with growing pains and tummy aches.

Jeff ordered Joe a Perplexus from Amazon for his birthday last week and the kids haven’t put it down since. They carry it everywhere. Three puzzles in one, all contained in this clear plastic ball. It’s so fun, Jeff and I play with it too!

And speaking of Amazon, did you know if you type in smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com, your purchase will generate funding for your favorite charity or school? Super cool. (Ours goes to Charity Water.)

And finally, this video from Beth Moore only confirms what my neighbor and I keep talking about. We need a donkey.

As for you who are not blessed enough to be Houstonians this morning, please behold a bit of our glad day thru the eyes of my fav neighbor. pic.twitter.com/6YZa4xblf9

Have a great time in Israel! Are you taking the whole family?

Thanks for the introduction to Plant Therapy too! The Roll-ons for kids are intriguing.
