Thankfulness Lately

Lately I’ve been thankful for…

Courage to take the training wheels off,

early school drop-offs redeemed by skies on fire,

70-degree weather, palms trees, and big wheels.

For time getting to know great-grandma,

and time to sleep off bad food reactions.

For a full day of learning and dreaming with a new friend,

and a fancier place to dream at night.
