I can’t even begin to tell you how blown away I am by the response to Project 365 Thanks so far. In only 5 days (as of writing this post), there have been over 200 thankful tweets, Facebook posts, Instagram photos and blog posts. You all are amazing! When I get on the computer and see the stream of thanks filling the screen, my heart feels full. I can only hope that this project will continue to grow, and that you will inspire more and more people as the year goes on. Thank you for taking my idea and running with it!
Now I know that I said we would be linking up on Thursdays, but the BlogHer program that I’m doing will be posting every Thursday for the next 8 weeks. So we will start our link-ups on Fridays, and then move to Thursdays when the Inspiration to Fitness program is finished up. Sound good?
I asked you for some ideas for a good Friday name (like Thankful Thursdays), and you gave me some fun (and some goofy) ideas. Some of your adjectives were funtastic, fruitful, fabulous, festive, and frisky. My favorite idea came from Rose who suggested TGIF – Thanks Giving Inspired Fridays. Don’t you love it?
This week I gave thanks for many things including the blank slate that is a new year, the absolutely gorgeous weather we have been having lately, and the celebration of ten years of marriage with my sweet husband. I also celebrated a new writing gig with BlogHer and the fact that I get to stay at home with Joe and Leila and still do the work that I love. Here are a few of my favorite Instagram pics from this week–
Giving thanks every day has definitely started my year out on the right foot. How about you? I would love to hear about how your week went. Leave a comment or link up below. You can link a blog post, a favorite #365thanks tweet, or anything else that has to do with Project 365 Thanks.
Keep spreading the word about the project! Let’s see how many people we can get on board the “Thanks Train!”
awesome beginning to the new year! love this gratefulness. let’s spread it like wildfire! xo

I’m soooo thankful that you included that sweeeet pic of me at the bottom…..#365thanks
You are soooo welcome.
Project 365 Thanks has really helped me to stay focused this week. Lately it seems that nothing is going right, until I stop and think about what I am grateful for. There has been a day or two that it takes me a few minutes to think of something – but when I do I always smile. I know that it will get easier and easier as the year goes on. Thank you so much for putting this together, Alysa! Here is a recap of my week of gratitude: http://aprilbowers.wordpress.com/2012/01/06/project-365thanks-my-week-of-gratitude/
April, I am so glad that this project is causing you to stop and take a moment to be grateful. That’s what it’s all about! Thank you for your blog post.
You know, I found the first 4 days pretty easy, but I hit a downer day yesterday where even the smallest things were upsetting. I think it really helped to end the day with a one-line acknowledgment of something I was thankful for despite all of the negativity I was generating earlier in the day. So thank you for creating this project!
That’s great to hear Jess. I’m glad you are getting something out of this project!
I have soo been enjoying sharing with people what I am thankful for everyday. I also feel full when reading others positivity. I had one particular hard day this week at work, one of my clients died. In the moments of that difficulty, it didn’t take long for me to think….where can thankfulness in this situation come from? For me, it came from the hope we have in Jesus. He has conquered death, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
I love you Susie 🙂
I love this idea! I just shared it on my blog today, and hope to inspire more people to join as well!
Thank you so much Nina!
I think my favorite ‘thanks tweet from someone else is:

I am so happy that you are enjoying the project. Yay!
Hi! I’m Stephanie:) I was so excited to stumble across this link up on Hannah’s blog because I was already planning to share my pics on my blog once a week this year! I look forward to getting to know you 🙂
I can’t wait til I have some time to really devour all your tips and recipes and good stuff on here!
ps.I tried to link up..its not showing up yet so I tried again. My apologies if it pops up twice!
Ok. I just switched my browser to Firefox and saw where this had been posted 3 times! I am so sorry..please delete two of them. I don’t know why it wasn’t showing up while I was in Safari.
I”m a dork 🙂
Haha, thanks for joining us Stephanie!
My friends and I have been doing this on Facebook, but I don’t know if you’ve been seeing them (not sure if the hashtag marks them for you, or if privacy settings block that)…if you haven’t, know that there are about 35 more thankful posts out there (5 of us, for all 7 days…more if you count the fact that my son and I are each doing our own thanks in each of my posts!).
Emily, that makes me so happy! If you want to start posting them on my facebook page too, I would be able to see all of them. Go to http://facebook.com/inspiredrd
