My favorites from 2014

We were this close. This close to escaping Christmas break without getting sick.

Yesterday Joe started feeling hot. Today he was so pitiful, he couldn’t get off the couch.

Tonight Leila’s head started hurting.

I can only assume Jeff and I are next.

So as we finish off the year with humidifiers and oil diffusers blazing, I thought I would round up a few of my favorite things from 2014.

My favorites from 2014

Favorite fiction book: The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton (It took me a little bit to get into this one, but then I couldn’t put it down.)

Favorite memoir: Carry On, Warrior by Glennon Melton Doyle (After I read this, I bought it for all of my friends.)

Favorite blog: Modern Mrs. Darcy (If you’re a book lover, she is a must-follow)

Favorite 2014 movie: St. Vincent (I went to this movie having never even heard of it. I walked out loving the story, loving the characters, and recommending it to everyone.)

Favorite movie that I finally got around to watching: Pitch Perfect (I was afraid this would be over-hyped, but it’s as good as they said it would be.)

Pitch Perfect
Favorite recipe: Coconut Chicken Chili (Can’t stop making this. So yummy.)

I feel for you!!! We were 30 minutes away from leaving on a trip to visit Great-Grandma, when my oldest came down with a high fever!!! She’s going on 3 days now… I’m hoping and praying the rest of us don’t catch it.

Oh no, I’m so sorry your fam is sick! My brother and his fam came to visit for Christmas and every.single.one of my family members got sick! Such a bummer! Love your round up though and can’t wait to make the chili and check out The Secret Keeper!
